Increase Mather's Confutation of Solomon Stoddard's Observations Respecling the Lord's Supper 1680.

The problem of the Half-way Covenant, for which Solomon Stoddard became a leading advocate in the 1670's, brought about a confrontation between Stoddard and Increase Mather. This is the first publication of Mather's earliest attack on Stoddardeanism, where he reaffirms the need for a regenerating conversion experience as a requisite for church membership.
