Theron Johnson Damon.

An obituary for Theron Johnson Damon (1883-1973). After graduating from Harvard Johnson worked briefly as a newspaperman, then traveled to Turkey where he taught school and worked for the American government and private oil companies. He served in World War I and World War II, spending most of the interwar period in Turkey. He joined the American Antiquarian Society in 1937, and played a role in its affairs until ill health forced him to retire.
