Sir Edmund Andros's Hearing Before the Lords of Trade and Plantations, April 17, 1690.

Prints two previously unpublished trial accounts of the hearing of Governor Edmund Andros of the Dominion of New England and his aides. One consists of notes made by Increase Mather at the time. He later wrote of the affair, which account does not significantly differ from these notes. The second account is a letter from Thomas Brinley, more important because he supported Andros and considered the charges against him to have been trumped up for the political gain of special interest groups. 31 notes.
