Arthur Harrison Cole.

Surveys the late Arthur Harrison Cole's academic career and his intellectual interests. During the 1940's he emerged as one of several scholars who tried to give economic history structure and discipline. The formation of 'The Journal of Economic History' and the acquisition of outside funding, together with Cole's able leadership, encouraged research and writing and led to the establishment of the Research Center in Entrepreneurial History.
