Francis Peloubet Farquhar.

An accountant, editor, historian, and naturalist, the late Francis Peloubet Farquhar (1887-1974) was an engaging figure with diverse interests. His activities ranged from editor of the 'Harvard Crimson', work in the US Navy during World War I, mountain climbing and an active concern for conservation, to a vast array of other public activities. He authored or edited more than half a dozen books on conservation and the West before his death in 1974.
