Marion Vernon Brewington.

Sketches the life of the late Marion Vernon Brewington (1902-74), who was a maritime historian and a lifelong supporter of the AAS. During World War II Brewington worked in the Navy Department, and after the war he became acting curator of the Naval Historical Foundation. His subsequent work concerned painters of American ship portraits in various ports of the world, as well as a proposed biographical dictionary of marine artists.
