From Liberty to Prosperity.

Discusses several pieces of historical art that represent some facet of the American Revolution. There is a need for the public to appreciate and interpret this art because it provides clues to the Revolution's role in our national tradition. This art reflects the American mind as it developed from the Revolution to the Age of Jackson, particularly the romanticizing of Revolutionary events and personalities. A second section of this essay reflects on numerous Bicentennial exhibitions.
