Julian Parks Boyd.

Boyd's (1903-80) most notable contribution to the historical profession is his work on the Jefferson Papers, but he had a long and notable career in addition to this work. A leader in the preservation of the nation's archives, he climaxed his career with his presidency of the American Philosophical Society. Provides an annotated survey of his writings.
