Stuart Capen Sherman.

Sherman pursued books and whales during his diverse career. A professional librarian, Sherman also authored books on whaling and developed major collections in that area. His list of whaling logbooks will be published posthumously. He also had an interest in the history of printing, and developed collections and courses on that topic.
