Bruce Murdock Leroy.

Presents a tribute to Bruce Murdock Leroy (1920-99), who served as director of the Washington State Historical Society from 1958 until 1983. His tenure saw the addition of a gallery for mounting significant exhibitions. He identified the art of the Northwest as an important collecting field. Leroy wrote and edited books on the regional history of the Northwest. His articles were published in 'American Heritage.' In 1983 he was elected a member of the American Antiquarian Society.
