Ke Kumu Hawaii

Ke Kumu Hawaii is a Hawaiian and English language newspaper. It is the second newspaper printed on Hawai'i and is considered the first regularly published newspaper printed on the islands. The newspaper was published by the Sandwich Islands Mission in Honolulu, O'ahu, from November 12, 1834, to May 22, 1839, and printed in both Hawaiian and English. Ke Kumu Hawaii functioned as a platform for the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions (ABCFM), mainly New England Calvinist missionaries. Students at Lahainaluna School in Maui were involved in its production.
