The Polynesian

The Polynesian is an English-language newspaper published by James Jackson Jarves (1818-1888) of Boston from 1840-1841, and again from 1844-1864, by James Fowle Baldwin Marshall (1818-1891). The paper occasionally printed in the Hawaiian language. From 1844 to 1860, The Polynesian functioned as the official printer of laws and notices of the Hawaiian government.
