Aritemetika oia Ka hoike helu

Not only are these arithmetic lessons the first mathematics printed on the islands, they were presumably printed by Indigenous Hawaiians whose names are known from other sources. Printing done between January 1827 (when the original printer's apprentice from New York departed) and March 1828 (when a new U.S. printer arrived) was largely undertaken by "native assistants Richard Karaianla, John Ii and Kuaana who had become very useful in the printing department."
