The article presents a report by the librarian of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS). The author discusses the transfer of the library's collections into a different building, which required the cleaning and organization of its books, newspapers and photographs. The layout of the library, including the placement of genealogical materials in the library's reading room, the use of alcoves in the library's wings for special collections and the storage of books on stacks, is discussed. Acquisitions by the library, including the receipt of 17th and 18th century American pamphlets and newspapers and the U.S. Library of Congress card catalog, is noted. Duplicate books from the collection of librarian Luis Montt were also acquired by the AAS library.
