A report by the librarian of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is presented. The author discusses the acquisition of books such as "Civil Service and the Patronage," by Carl Russell Fish, pamphlets such as "Some Observations on the French Tongue," newspapers such as "The Alexandria Gazette" and manuscripts by the AAS Library through purchases and donations. An engraving of a painting by Christian Remick depicting Boston Harbor was donated to the society. Increases to the society's collection of almanacs are also discussed.
