Report of the Librarian.

A report by the librarian of the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) is presented. The author notes large increases in the AAS Library's newspaper collection which have helped eliminate the collection's gaps pertaining to 19th century newspapers such as the "Reading Adler." The donation of diaries belonging to Shirley, Massachusetts resident James Parker is noted. The author comments on the acquisition of German almanacs from Pennsylvania and the lack of appreciation from historians and bibliographers regarding their value.
