Report of the Council.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author notes the deaths of AAS members, including Charles Edward Banks, William Keeney Bixby and Livingston Davis. A legacy to the society from the estate of AAS member Henry Winchester Cunningham to be divided into the Henry Winchester Cunningham Fund and the Mary Hayward Cunningham Fund is noted. The passing of dividends has resulted in a decrease in income for the AAS Library, resulting in fewer book purchases. A grant was awarded to the society by the American Council of Learned Societies research organization for use in a project to create an American bibliography.
