Report of the Council.

A report issued by the American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Council is presented. The author discusses construction of an addition to the AAS Library which will house a book stack and comments on the decoration of the building with tapestries. The society's acquisition of books, newspapers and engravings, including the donation by AAS member Edward Larocque Tinker of books focusing on Louisiana, is discussed. The deaths of AAS members James Truslow Adams, Wallace W. Atwood and Lucius Wilmerding are noted. AAS members have contributed funds to support the society following cost increases.
