The Catalogue of American Engravings: A Manual for Users.

A user's guide to the records contained in the American Antiquarian Society's on-line catalogue of 16,800 engravings (CAEP). CAEP is a union catalogue that describes engravings issued as separate publications or as illustrations in books and periodicals from the early eighteenth century through the year 1820. Included is a brief history of the project and its relationship to the various editions of the published reference works of Stauffer (1907) and Fielding (1917, 1926, 1945, 1965).
